When Interwin came to live with us in 2016, the big, solid-boned chestnut gelding attracted attention because he was Australian. That our other Aussie, Bint Marscay, had come to America was no wonder. As a champion and the dam of three good racehorses, she was imported as a valuable broodmare. But why ship over a gelding shown in racing databases with only three starts and no wins? As it turned out, Interwin’s brief try at racing wasn’t his real career. His really calling was as a three day eventer.
