Named for comedian Jimmy Fallon, the tall, handsome grey son of Midnight Lute was launched on a successful race career by owner Jill Baffert and her husband, Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert, as a three year old at Santa Anita. At four he won at Churchill Downs and Belmont Park. In fact, he finished in the first three in every race but one that he ever ran, but in late summer he was permanently sidelined by an injury. The Bafferts saw to it that Jimbo received the best of care to enable a happy, comfortable retirement. Old Friends is grateful to Jill and Bob Baffert for entrusting us with Jimbo Fallon and for all their generous support on behalf of the Old Friends retirees. Share sheet info – click here.
