Smart Strike - Fabulous Find, by Lost Code | 2003 gelding - (View Pedigree)

Pennsylvania-bred Fabulous Strike is the winner of the Vosburgh S (G1), the True North H (G2), the Alfred G. Vanderbilt H (G2), The Aristides S (G3) and the Gravesend H (G3). Other prestigious victories included stakes races at Belmont, Churchill Downs, Aqueduct, and Mountaineer. After sustaining an injury in 2009, Fabulous Strike received an 18 month layoff and stem cell therapy at New Bolton Center in Pennsylvania, after which he returned to win again. From a career 28 starts the gutsy sprinter won 15, placed 5 times and showed 1 time for total earnings of $1,447,804. When the time came for retirement in fall 2011, Walter Downey generously donated his homebred star to Old Friends. We are honored to be the home of this truly fabulous champ.
