Wave 3: Silver Charm, still a champion even in retirement

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The oldest Kentucky Derby-winning horse was Count Fleet, who won the Triple Crown in 1943. He died in 1973 after living 33 years, 8 months, and 9 days.

The oldest *living* Kentucky Derby-winning horse is Silver Charm. He’s spending retirement at Old Friends Equine, a farm in Georgetown, Kentucky. The farm offers tours where you can visit the retired champion.
